School uniforms! I better not say what’s not happening. The many laws that are being put on dressing codes. Students are screaming all over. What if they introduced uniforms in colleges and Universities? Let’s not even touch on that. So school uniforms date back to the 16th century. The origin of the first uniforms is not easy to get by. There are numerous pictures of would be students at different organisations. So maybe it was an organisations’ thing after all, copied by the school system. School uniforms are a very key factor in the education industry. It not only identifies a school from another but is the pride of a school. This is more so when it is somehow unique in colour or design. For me it is not about the school. It is about the students or pupils. The uniforms not only initiate a sense of togetherness but also promotes less individuality. This boosts the self esteem of the student. Even if by a smalll margin. I have nothing against school uniforms, whether the schools design a horrible piece of an excuse for a uniform or it designs something awesome it’s none of my business. As long as they keep them out of colleges and universities. Oh, and my future workplace.
