Do the two sound like something our ancestors did coming back to bite our ass?! That is not the point of this blog. I would like to have a say on the two. I don’t have a clear definition of gender equality, in my mind that is. It’s a word I often hear but dismiss. Not today. Gender equality is the strive for equal rights, responsibility and opportunities between the two genders. That is ridiculous. I won’t laugh, you shouldn’t too. Gender equity on the other hand is being fair to both men and women. I had an idea of this. To my understanding, both gender equality and gender equity are both a way of making things level for both genders. This is my stand, either can never be achieved entirely. It is against the law of nature for this kind of coexistence between both genders. A sad truth!
